Many of you know Mr. Welly Yang as a Taiwanese American Second Generation Broadway singer, and he is now advocating for Taiwan through the power of storytelling by making a movie. We are excited to announce an important initiative to support the film “Weekend in Taipei” and raise awareness about the pressing situation in Taiwan. As part of our mission, we are organizing community buyouts to distribute tickets to students, seniors, and other community groups across 50 theaters in the United States. Our goal is to raise $125,000 to make this vision a reality.

With growing tensions surrounding the potential threat of invasion by China, it is more crucial than ever for Americans to understand the implications of this situation and stand in solidarity with the peace-loving people of Taipei. “Weekend in Taipei” offers a unique glimpse into the lives and culture of the Taiwanese people, fostering empathy and awareness at a time when it is desperately needed.
